How to Connect CYVIO Cameras to Phone's Hotspot?
If you are unable to connect the camera to your router's WiFi, you can try connecting the camera to your mobile hotspot to confirm if the issue is with the router.
Applies to: C2 Pan-Tilt Camera, B220/B221 Battery Camera, R112 Doorbell
Step 1: Set Up a Personal Hotspot
To connect the camera to your phone's hotspot, first enable the hotspot function on your phone. Take note of the hotspot's SSID (Network Name) and Password. If you are unsure how to enable the hotspot, please consult your mobile service provider or phone manufacturer's customer service.
Step 2: Connect the CYVIO Camera to the Personal Hotspot
If your camera is already online but you need to switch it to the hotspot:
1. Log in to your camera via the app.
2. Navigate to the camera's WiFi Settings page.
3. Update the WiFi settings by entering your mobile hotspot's SSID and password.

2. Connect to the Hotspot During Initial Setup
When setting up the camera for the first time, follow the QR code scanning process until you reach the network configuration interface:
Select Network: Instead of choosing your home router, select your mobile phone's Hotspot SSID.
Enter Password: Input the hotspot password you noted in Step 1.
Complete Setup: Follow the remaining on-screen prompts to finish the connection.

Enter the SSID (name) and password of your configured mobile hotspot, then click Next. Wait for the device to connect. Once the connection is successful, you can proceed with further settings and debugging.
If the connection fails:
- Double-check that the hotspot name and password were entered correctly.
- Try restarting both the camera and your phone's hotspot before attempting to connect again.
- If the connection still fails after multiple attempts, please contact product customer service for professional technical support.
