How do I factory reset the camera?
This guide explains how to perform a factory reset on your camera.
Method 1: Use the NVR to reset connected cameras to factory settings.
Step 1: Enter the network video recorder (NVR) password or pattern lock to access the system.


Step 2: Go to the system preview page, right-click to open the system menu, and select Configuration.
Step 3: Follow the numerical sequence shown in the figure to navigate to the Camera Activation page. Select the camera(s) you want to reset and click Load Default.
Note: You can select multiple cameras to perform the factory reset simultaneously!
Step 4: When the authentication popup appears, enter the NVR password and click the Authenticate button to perform the factory reset on the selected camera(s).

Step 5: Wait for the countdown in the popup to finish. The factory reset of the camera(s) is then complete.
Note: During the process, the camera may go offline. It will automatically come back online once the factory reset is successful.

Method 2: Perform a factory reset by long-pressing the camera’s RESET button
Applicable Models: Battery Doorbell
Press and hold the reset button (shown in the red circle in the figure) until you hear the voice prompt:
"Reset success, device is restarting, please wait."
Applicable Models: PTZ Camera
Press and hold the reset button (shown in the red circle in the figure) until you hear the voice prompt:
"Reset success, device is restarting."
Applicable Models: Battery Standalone Camera
Press and hold the reset button (shown in the red circle in the figure) for 3–8 seconds until you hear the voice prompt:
"Reset success, device is restarting."
Note: Holding the button for more than 8 seconds will power off the camera immediately.
