Add a new camera to the app

21 Jan 2026

You can add a new camera to the CYVIO App using one of the following two methods:

1. Add by Scanning QR Code

Step 2: Align the scanning frame with the QR code on the bottom of the camera or on the packaging box. Keep the lens clear and wait for the system to automatically recognize it.

Step 3: After the QR code is successfully scanned, enter the camera’s initial password in the pop-up password field, then click the “Next” button and wait for the device to complete the connection. (Illustration shown below)

Step 4: After the connection is successful, enter a custom name for the camera on the naming page (it is recommended to include the location), then click “Next” to proceed to the next step. (Illustration shown below)

Step 5: When the system displays “Added successfully”, click the “Finish” button to return to the Home page. The newly added camera will appear in the device list. (Illustration shown below)

2. Add by Searching

1. Add via Wireless Method (Applicable Models: B220 / B221)

Step 1: Open the CYVIO App. On the Home page, tap the “+” add button in the top-right corner, then select “Online Device” to enter the device search page. (Illustration shown below)

Step 2: Select “Wi-Fi connect” as the network connection type. (Illustration shown below)

Step 3: Follow the on-screen instructions and tap the “Next” button to proceed to the next step. (Illustration shown below)

Step 4: Tap “Go to settings” as prompted. The system will automatically redirect you to the phone’s settings page. In the Wi-Fi settings, find the camera’s hotspot, enter the hotspot password (12345678), and complete the connection. (Illustration shown below)

Step 5: Return to the CYVIO App and tap “Next” to enter the wireless configuration page. Enter the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password for your current network, then tap “Next”. In the pop-up network authorization window, tap “Join” to confirm the connection. (Illustration shown below)

Step 6: On the security settings page, create the device’s initial password. Tap “Next” and wait for the system to complete the camera connection verification. (Illustration shown below)

Step 7: On the device naming page, enter a name for the camera (it is recommended to include the location, such as “Living Room Camera”), then tap “Next” to continue. (Illustration shown below)

Step 8: From the time zone selection list, choose the time zone that matches your current location, then tap “Next” to save the setting. (Illustration shown below)

Step 9: The system will prompt you to format the SD card to optimize storage performance. After confirming, tap “Next” to start formatting. (It is recommended to perform this step for first-time use.) (Illustration shown below)

Step 10: Follow the illustration to complete the physical installation of the camera. After adjusting the lens to the desired monitoring angle, tap “Next” to confirm the installation is complete. (Illustration shown below)

Step 11: The addition process is now complete. Tap “Finish” to return to the Home page. The new device will appear in the list of connected devices. (Illustration shown below)

2. Add via Wired Method (Camera and phone must be on the same local network)

Step 1: Open the CYVIO App. On the Home page, tap the “+” add button in the top-right corner, then select “Online Device” to enter the device search page. (Illustration shown below)

Step 2: Select “Wire Ethernet Connect” as the network connection type. (Illustration shown below)

Step 3: After confirming that the device is connected to the network, tap “Connected and Next”. The system will automatically search for camera devices on the local network. (Illustration shown below)

What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
