How to Add Admin/User Accounts to CYVIO Cameras?

Add an Administrator Account:
Adding a CYVIO camera administrator account is done during camera activation when setting up the admin account.

Method 1: Activate via NVR system and create the camera admin account

1. Connect an inactive PoE camera to the NVR’s PoE port.
When the camera is activated and goes online, the system automatically creates an administrator account. The username is “admin”, and the password is the one set on the NVR when activating the camera.

2. Ensure the camera and NVR are on the same local network (wireless cameras are not supported).
Manually add an inactive camera to the NVR system. The camera will then be activated, and an administrator account will be created automatically. The username is “admin”, and the password is the one set on the NVR during activation.

Important Notice:
Because the camera’s default administrator password is the password used by the NVR to activate the camera, please refer to the help document What is the default administrator password for CYVIO cameras/NVRs?

Method 2: Activate via CYVIO APP and create a camera administrator account

When adding an inactive camera through the CYVIO APP, the process includes creating the administrator account.

For detailed activation steps, refer to the guide “How to Initially set up XXX via CYVIO APP” (replace XXX with your specific device).

Below is the interface for adding an administrator account to the camera.

Add a User Account:

1. Open a browser and enter the device’s URL in the format: http://IP:Port to access the camera’s web client.

2. On the camera’s web client login page, enter the administrator username and password to log in.

3. Follow the numbered sequence shown in the diagram to switch to the multi-user management page. Then select a user whose Enable status is Disabled and click the pencil icon to add the user.

4. Enter the username and password, confirm the password again, and click the OK button. The user account will be successfully added.
