How to Set up Privacy Mask for CYVIO Cameras?
CYVIO cameras support two methods for setting up Privacy Mask.
You can choose the appropriate method based on your usage scenario.
1. Set Privacy Mask via CYVIO App
Step 1
Log in to the CYVIO App.
Tap the “…” icon in the upper-right corner of the target device to open the settings menu, then select Camera Settings to enter the camera configuration page.

Step 2
On the camera settings page, tap Common Settings to enter the general parameter configuration interface.

Step 3
Select Privacy Mask on the common settings page.
On the privacy setup guide page, tap Next to enter the area drawing interface.

Step 4
Enable the Privacy Mask toggle.
l Tap the “+” button at the bottom to create a privacy zone
l Drag to adjust the position and size of the masked area
l Tap Save to apply the settings

2. Set Privacy Mask via CYVIO VMS Platform
Step 1
Visit the CYVIO VMS Management Platform:
https://vms.cyviolife.com/
After logging in, select Device from the left navigation bar to enter the device list.
Click Remote Settings next to the target device.

Step 2
In the remote configuration interface, locate Privacy Mask.
- Enable the Privacy Mask feature
- Use the mouse to draw the area to be masked directly on the preview screen
- For 4-inch PTZ dome camera models, click Add first before drawing the privacy area
- Click Save to apply the settings
